We started with the English speech session.
It was her first speech.
Everyone gets nervous for their first speech, right?
But she kept speaking until the end without looking at her script.
Everyone is a beginner at first.
But this is a place where you can step forward!
Then, we had the Table Topics session.
When do you find the best answer for a Table Topic?
"Oh, this is the best!"
It's always
after the meeting.
After all, the best way to improve is to practice.
But it's not easy to practice for a sudden speech
because it's not sudden at all when we have practiced.
So, the best way to practice is to answer the table topics at our regular meetings.
Then, we had the Japanese speech session.
Our first Japanese speaker said,
“It doesn't get through unless you say it clearly in your voice.”
Then he said,
“It might seem like I gave speeches many times recently.”
Now that he mentioned it, he has been giving many speeches lately.
"Actually, I’m trying to get the Toastmaster T-shirt before the deadline."
That’s the reason why!
Yes, it got through.
But any reason is OK.
What's most important is that you can't improve anything by doing nothing.
The next speaker's speech project was
"The Evaluation and Its Feedback.”
This means improving the next speech
using today's feedback.
studying abroad in England.
He also said that he wants to get a Toastmaster T-shirt by using this feedback.

最初は誰もが初心者。
でも、ここは一歩踏み出せる場所なんです！
次はテーブルトピックのセッションでした。
テーブルトピックに対して
「これだ！」という最高の答えが見つかるのはいつでしょう？
いつも、
ミーティングが終わった後です。

だから練習する最善の方法はやはり、
例会でテーブルトピックに答えることです。
それから、日本語スピーチのセッションになりました。
最初の日本語スピーカーはこう言いました。
「口に出してはっきり言わないと伝わらない」

「最近何度もスピーチをしているように見えるかもしれませんね。」
そう言われてみると、彼は最近本当に多くのスピーチをしています。
「実は締め切りまでに、トーストマスターのTシャツを手に入れようとしているからなんです。」
なるほど、そう言う理由があったんですね。
はい、良く伝わりました。
でも、どんな理由でも構いません。
何よりも大切なのは、何もしなければ上達しないということです。
次の方のスピーチ・プロジェクトは、
「評価とフィードバック」
これは、今日のフィードバックを活かして
次のスピーチを改善することを意味します。
彼はイギリスへの留学経験について話しました。
彼もまた、
このフィードバックを活用して
トーストマスターのTシャツを手に入れたいとも言っていました。
