　花冷えの3月6日に開催された新宿バイリンガルトーストマスターズの例会、大勢のゲスト参加の中、2つのアイスブレイカースピーチ、そして2つのコンテストスピーチに対するクラブ恒例”虎の穴”が行われ、今回も大変活気のある、充実した例会となりました。

　まずは、日本語アイスブレイカースピーチのTM Tさん、お仕事とは関係なく行っているという里山保全の活動とTM入会を絡めて、お人柄のにじみ出るスピーチをしてくださいました。

アイスブレイカースピーチ2つめは、TM Mさんによる英語スピーチ。学生時代の器楽クラブでの経験を通じ、ご自分の個性をよく物語るエピソードを紹介してくださいました。

　さて、いよいよ最後の新宿バイリンガルクラブ名物の「虎の穴」では、TM SさんとTM Yさん、そしてほかのクラブから参加してくださったTM Mによる3つの英語スピーチに対して、メンバ、そして今回は多くのゲストからも大変建設的な多くのコメントが寄せられました。大変興味深い3つのスピーチ、内容についても紹介したいところですが、コンテストスピーチですので、内容はコンテストをぜひお聞きになってください！

On March 6th, amidst the chilly spring air, the Shinjuku Bilingual Toastmasters meeting took place with a large number of guests in attendance. The event featured two Icebreaker speeches and two contest speeches, followed by the club's traditional "Tiger's Den." Once again, it was a lively and enriching meeting.

The first Icebreaker speech was given by TM T in Japanese, who shared his involvement in satoyama conservation activities—something unrelated to his professional life—and connected it to their decision to join Toastmasters. His speech truly reflected his warm and genuine personality.

Next, TM M delivered an English Icebreaker speech, recalling her experiences in a brass band club during her student years. She shared a personal story that highlighted her unique character and individuality.

The highlight of the meeting was, of course, the Shinjuku Bilingual Club's signature "Tiger's Den." Three English speeches were presented by TM S, TM Y, and TM M, who had joined from another club. These speeches were followed by many constructive and insightful comments from both members and guests. The three speeches were incredibly engaging, and while it would be great to discuss the content in detail here, as they were contest speeches, please join the contest to hear them firsthand!
